Environmental Remediation

REM-CON installed three passive landfill gas vents into this closed landfill in 2017.
REM-CON handled all hazardous waste treatment and disposal for the facility including the preparation of Annual TRI Reports and notifications required by the EPA.
As part of the Voluntary Remediation Plan, REM-CON excavated and coordinated off-disposal of approximately 5 tons of PCB impacted soil and 10 tons of heavy metal impacted soils from this Facility.
As part of a RCRA Corrective Action Plan, REM-CON treated in-situ 3,500 tons of RCRA hazardous lead impacted soils to non-hazardous conditions using a proprietary stabilization reagent.
As part of the expansion of the Hartsfield International Airport, one of the properties to be acquired by the City of Atlanta was a former trucking operation located on Lees Mill Road.
REM-CON was contracted to remove the 8,000-gallon gasoline UST at this facility located in Atlanta, GA.
REM-CON was contracted to build and operate a temporary Dual-Phase Extraction System to remove free product from the groundwater at this site.
REM-CON fabricated, installed, and operated an AS/SVE groundwater treatment system consisting of a trailer-mounted 10 HP electric 36J URAI (Roots) positive displacement blower, liquid gas separator, 5 HP Rietschle Model DLR 100 rotary claw compressor, liquid transfer pump, controls, and condensate storage tank.
REM-CON was contracted to replace the Grundfos submersible pumps, pump controllers, and re-run all electrical to repair the associated groundwater extraction system. The pumps were located at approximately 350 feet below ground surface.
REM-CON along with a local Geoprobe contractor treated a PCE groundwater contaminant plume using activated sodium persulfate injected into the subsurface under an EPD approved Voluntary Remediation Plan.
REM-CON retrofitted the Landfill Gas Extraction and Groundwater Extraction Systems at this landfill by adding 28 additional gas extraction wells to the Facility, upgrading the blower to increase capacity of the candle flare, reprogrammed the PLC for continuous operation, and installed a second groundwater extraction well and submersible pump.
REM-CON was contracted to build a "pilot-scale" soil vapor extraction (SVE_/air sparge (AS) remediation system.
The site was a former scrap yard located on 1.1 acres near the offices of EPD in downtown Atlanta. The objective of the site remediation was to remove all soils exhibiting the hazardous characteristic for lead, placement of a protective cover (Cap) to control any future migration of the residual soil contamination, and the installation of an asphalt parking lot.
REM-CON performed groundwater in-situ chemical oxidation at this Facility to remediate groundwater impacted with TCE and associated daughter products and 1,1,2-TCA.

Waste Water Services

REM-CON works with various manufacturer data collection systems including Tracom, VPC Fiberglass, Teledyne -ISCO, HACH, and Siemens to monitor flow and pH for industrial wastewater clients.
REM-CON installed an 11,200 GPD heavy metals removal and cyanide destruction treatment system for this electroplating process.
REM-CON installed a dissolved air flotation (DAF) wastewater treatment system consisting of two 8,500-gallon equalization tanks with air agitation and chemical injection for ph adjustment, a flocculent, and coagulant mixing tube set up, and a 40 gpm DAF unit.
REM-CON installed a skid-mounted treatment system consisting of an oil water separator, chemical treatment system, dissolved air floatation system, resin bed filter, and sludge press.
REM-CON installed a 6,000 GPD heavy metals removal treatment system for this vehicle wash process utilizing select existing components to reduce overall cost.
REM-CON designed and installed a pH buffering system to adjust this plant's final effluent to meet discharge permit limits.
REM-CON designed and installed two lift stations and pH control and polishing system for this Brewery's wastewater treatment system.
REM-CON installed a 40,000 gallon glass-lined Steel AST, associated piping, concrete pad, and secondary containment.

Industrial

General & Utility Contracting

REM-CON was contracted to provide all site development activities which included site grading, installation of the retaining walls, concrete dumpster pad, all associated stormwater and sanitary piping, firemain, and all potable water lines prior to the construction of this multi-level apartment complex.
REM-CON acted as general contractor for the construction of our 6,000 sq. ft. office building completed in 2005.
REM-CON installed a 40,000 gallon glass-lined Steel AST, associated piping, concrete pad, and secondary containment.
REM-CON installed a 5,000-gallon oil/water separator, separated the sanitary and storm sewer systems, installed a backflow preventer, and modified the truck wash down area to treat the stormwater run-off from the facility.

Vacuum Services

REM-CON installed a dissolved air flotation (DAF) wastewater treatment system consisting of two 8,500-gallon equalization tanks with air agitation and chemical injection for ph adjustment, a flocculent, and coagulant mixing tube set up, and a 40 gpm DAF unit.
REM-CON installed a 6,000 GPD heavy metals removal treatment system for this vehicle wash process utilizing select existing components to reduce overall cost.
REM-CON designed and installed a pH buffering system to adjust this plant's final effluent to meet discharge permit limits.
REM-CON designed and installed two lift stations and pH control and polishing system for this Brewery's wastewater treatment system.
REM-CON installed a 40,000 gallon glass-lined Steel AST, associated piping, concrete pad, and secondary containment.
REM-CON conducted daily inspections on the operation of the associated wastewater treatment system from 1999 to 2021
